Baked Pasta

We had baked pasta for lunch. I like to eat pasta but I rarely eat baked pasta. The ones we had today was delicious. Our eldest like noodles so much that he enjoyed eating it with us.

If you would like to try it, here are the ingredients and steps.

Ingredients:

250g Noodles

2 tsp. Oil

Sprinkle of Salt

200g Cheese

200g Ham

2 tbsp Margarine to use for the form

200g Nestle Cream

4 Eggs

2 tbsp Flour

2 tbsp Onion Leaves

Fresh Pepper

2 tbsp Breadcrumbs

30g Margarine

Let’s Get Started:

1. Cook the pasta in plenty of water with oil and salt and then rinse with cold water.

2. Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.

3. Cut the ham into short strips and fold in into the pasta.

4. Apply the margarine to the side’s and down part of the form and then put the noodles and ham mixture on it.

5. Whisk the cream, eggs, flour, onion leaves and cheese together. Then season with salt and pepper. Pour it over the noodles.

6. Sprinkle the remaining cheese over the ground and add the breadcrumbs. Put it on the middle rack of the oven and bake for 20-30 minutes.

Mini Fruit Tarts

Today is Lina’s birthday. Our eldest with grandma and grandpa attended the tea time, but bunso and I were left home. They brought mini fruit tarts and strawberry cake with them which my grandma baked.

Since we’re not around, they left us some fruit tarts. Fresh fruit mini cakes are delicious. I love fruits and veggies that are fresh.

Here’s the pic of one of my fruit tarts…

Luncheon Meat (Maling)

I miss Maling so much! It it a chinese brand luncheon meat that I ate most of the time during breakfast back home. It is hard to find Maling in Asian stores here, but there are a lot of delicious counterpart.

How do you cook Lucheon Meat? Since it is already a finished product, the best way to prepare it is to fry in vegetable oil. I usually dipped it in beated eggs before putting it on the pan. Just wait for few minutes until it is warm and a lil bit brown on the sides.

This is best served with hot rice, mayo and ketchup or freshly picked tomatoes from the garden :)

Though I ate these during breakfast back home, I eat this during dinner here :))

Fried Pork Belly

Today, we will have marinated fried pork belly for lunch.

That will be serve with hot rice, tomatoes and salad. One thing I really love with pork belly is that it has a lot of fat on it ha ha ha. I usually baked it in the oven for 25-30 min at 180°C. But right now, we will just fry it.

Enjoy your lunch!

Beef Steak Pork Steak for Grilling

It’s grilling time!

Yesterday, we grilled Beef Steaks and Pork Steaks for lunch. The weather was nice, the sun was up and it is 20°C warrrmmm. Though it was also the same day when we had the Daylight Saving Time, often referred to as “Summer Time”, “DST” or “Daylight Savings Time” (a way of making better use of the daylight by setting the clocks forward one hour during the long days of summer, and back again in the fall), we were still able to manage to prepare everything on time.

Hubby prepared and made the grilling and I prepared and made the Tortellini Salad. It was one of the best sunday lunch at home. I love grilling, I miss the Filipino BBQ though. I was not able to prepare that since our kiddos eat a lot of my time, for now ;) But, I hope to be able to prepare Filipino Barbeque soon and/or at least during summer time. I’d love to eat grill food with cold soft drinks. Yesterday, we had cold cold cola :) If only we can grill everyday, we would :)
